Changelog

Selected highlights, newest first. The site has been live since launch and grows continuously, so the catalogue gains comics, clips, and posters between these dated milestones too.

Verification

Every clip re-verified, and Today's Picks rebuilt

  • Re-checked all 2,328 clips on the site against YouTube. Ten had gone dark since May, nine of them blocked and one deleted; four were casualties of The Late Late Show pulling its stand-up archive.
  • Replaced eight with verified clips from official channels, including the full uncensored Kaufman and Lawler segment on Letterman and Richard Pryor arguing about poverty with Dorothy Fuldheim on Carson in 1978. Two Kaufman entries came out instead: no surviving upload proves what routine it holds, and a guess is worse than a gap.
  • Fixed six dead Watch links, five slug-less rows on the 100 Best Specials, and a full HBO special that had been linking to an unauthorised re-upload.
  • Rebuilt Today's Picks: the Bit of the Day now rotates through the 100 Best Bits instead of the raw clip pool, and each tile is cropped to its own subject.

Catalogue

A bigger catalogue, and the Dispatch picks back up

  • The roster is now 459 comics, 1,367 specials and sets, and 2,252 playable bits, up from 431, 1,301 and 1,591 in the spring.
  • Posters are sourced on 1,025 specials, and the counts shown on The Data and the Roadmap now track the build rather than a stale snapshot.
  • Greenroom Dispatch returns after a summer pause with two catch-up editions covering July and August: the Laugh List, Helium’s move into original content, Comedy Central’s return to the showcase, and the month’s specials.
  • Re-verified every link and image in the Dispatch archive; all 72 resolve.

News

Greenroom Dispatch, weekly stand-up news

  • Added Greenroom Dispatch, a weekly round-up of real, sourced stand-up news, on the home page and in its own archive.
  • Every item is dated, sourced, and link-verified before it ships.
  • Tidied the navigation: the three lists now sit under one 100 Best menu.

Depth

Headliner catalogues go deep

  • Deep-expanded the marquee profiles with hundreds of newly verified clips and their recent specials.
  • Set a three-tier quality bar: every profile clears a sufficient floor, and the headliners go further.
  • Made stage stand-up a requirement: every comic needs real on-stage clips, not only interviews or panels.

Engine

New data model and rebuilt search

  • Rebuilt how bits are stored so each one nests under the special, set, or broadcast it came from.
  • Shipped a wider, faster search: typing "horse" now finds Mulaney's Horse in the Hospital.
  • Redesigned comic pages with a thumbnail on every clip and grouped TV, podcast, and club appearances.

The Index, profiles v2, and the Best-of lists

  • Launched the Index explorer with era and scene filters, and "/" search on every page.
